Academic and Research Experience
Research:
Dr. Hardy's Research has focused on marine environmental problems. Most recently, studies utilized remote sensing to assess the distribution and health of coral reefs. He has published 3 books, 6 book chapters, 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, over 110 technical reports or abstracts, directed more than 30 funded research projects, and served as technical reviewer for six research journals, and many research proposals.
International Experience:
Resident 2 years in Palau, Micronesia and 3 1/2 years in Beirut, Lebanon. Conducted marine field research in many areas of the world's oceans including Antarctica, Oceania, the Middle East, Europe, Central America, and Asia. Attended numerous international conferences, some as keynote speaker, and traveled in over 96 countries.
